Matthew 6: 3 “But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,”
It is good that the charity, prayer, and worship of God is made between God and the worshiper who is doing good for the sake of God. It is becoming increasingly common for some people to donate to charity and then show people how their charity has escaped. The camera, which is captured from poor people, is said to have given you a gift or a prayer. Is it a gift to God or a sign of self?
Now those who did so received their reward. Their reward was a loss and they received nothing from God. Matthew 6: 2 “Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.”
The prayer is similar and you see a lot of people going out on the streets praying that people can see and praise what they are doing. These have received their reward, and have also been neglected by God. Matthew 6: 5 “And when ye pray, be not as the hypocrites: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. . Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Brethren, whatever worship we draw near to God, is something that the individual and God who created it need not be involved with others. So whatever we do in godliness we do so faithfully for ourselves and for God. Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.”
