When a Somali becomes aware of the truth and is saved by the grace of God and becomes a Christian, he is faced with the hardships and persecution of his Somali people. It is possible that many people cut ties with a Christian, and some even threaten to kill him. These and many other actions are a way of protecting a faith or ideology that is not hidden in the truth. The reason for this is because Somalis do not trust their beliefs and see that if Somalis become Christians and are released and given freedom, many Somalis will be out of their current beliefs. Jeremiah. 24: 7 “And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.”
Brothers and sisters of Somalia, know that if they close their doors, God opens better doors than ever before. There is no door that God cannot open. If some people have left our lives when we become Christians, God will add other good people to our lives as He promised. Luke 18: 28-30 Peter said, “Behold, we have left our own; followed. And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you. No man has left his house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God, and does not yet have many, and in the age to come eternal life.
We always pray that God will open doors for us, that is good. But there are some doors that need to be locked. Psalms 139.1-3 “O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways!”
