Romans 12:14 Bless them that persecute you: bless, and curse not.
More and more, Somali Christians are being threatened, insulted, persecuted and cursed. But God has taught us how to overcome and prevent this great problem. for God is greater than suffering. When we pray for those who insult us, curse us or persecute us, they may find themselves in greater danger than they are. for blasphemy, cursing, murder, etc. are the works of the devil, and they that do them are against God. So if Christians are faced with such issues God will encourage them to overcome evil. Rom 12: 20-21 “But if thine enemy be hungry, feed him; and if he be thirsty, give him water; for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”
It is heartwarming for me to see how well-behaved the Christian brothers are and tolerate and respond to problems such as insults, curses and threats on social media such as Facebook and YouTube. Here there is a contrast between God and Satan. Psalms. 37: 3-4 “Trust in the LORD and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Now rejoice in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart ”.
My dear brothers, if we face all kinds of hardships in the world, let us not be discouraged and give up on the evildoer and his people, to flee to our loving God and promise to overcome him in every difficulty. John 16.33b “In the world ye have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” May the peace of God keep our hearts. Amen.
