Why do Christians call God “Father”?

2 Corinthians 6:18 I will be your Father, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

The Bible teaches us to call God our Father, not something we did. The Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples to call God the Father. Father is in breach of the relationship between people and God, a good example is a defined relationship between a child and his father.

When the disciples of Jesus Christ said to Him, Lord, teach us how to pray. Matthew 6: 9 Our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Prayer begins with our Heavenly Father that shows us that we value God as our loving and revered Father. That is the way God wants us to worship and learn about Him, as we draw closer to Him and have a good relationship with Him.

Here is another example: Luke 11:11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? The love that our father has for us is better than the love of our God our Father and gives us all that we ask for. Fatherhood is not physical but spiritual, as some people say we are slaves of God and Christians say we are God’s children by birth, not God. In the Bible God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth John 4:24.

Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God in Romans 8:14. This verse declares that we are the children of God. Don’t think that we are from the body, but the Spirit and the Lord Jesus Christ. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12

Every person in the world has a father who has a physical body, but he has another spiritual father, one who believes and worships either God or Satan. Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, and he who does not love his brother. 1 John 3:10.

You must believe in Jesus Christ to be the child of God. For ye are all sons of God, through faith, in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

Slavery is delivered from us in this verse when we accept a Christian. For ye received not the spirit of bondage again unto fear; but ye received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Father, Father. The Spirit of God shows our spirit that our Father is our closest God, who accepts us and gives us everything we ask for.

Even before the gospel, even a father was called to God. Ancient Torah and Psalm verses are also Psalm 68: 5 God is the father of the fatherless and the judge of the widows. Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? Did not one God create us?

Brothers and sisters, if you want to be one of God’s beloved children in heaven, believe in this heart and confess this prayer. O my God, I am a sinner I repent and forgive all my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose from the third day. Lord, I confess in my heart that I am my Savior and my Savior. Let the Holy Spirit lead me. I ask you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Welcome to the Kingdom of God, and contact us. Thank you.
