Many people ask this question all the time, whether they believe in God or not.
God is the Creator of all things in the world and everything we see in the universe and everything in the water. It is the wisdom and power behind everything that people see and experience. Therefore, because of the diversity of languages in the world, every powerful nation is for God. Somali is God. Arabic is Allah, English is God, Italian is Dio and so on. Is that the name of that god?
In the same question Moses asked God, when God chose Moses to deliver Israel from the colonial hands of Egypt and Pharaoh. Exodus 3:13 “And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say unto me, What is his name? say? What shall I say to them?
God responded to Moses by saying: Exodus 3:14 “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM; And he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
It is clear from this text that God chose to call Him who He is. The meaning of “I am” implies that God is for everyone who he or she chooses to be. That would be the name that person calls his God. God is good, and the names he gives to people reflect the mark of his goodness.
As Christians, I believe that Jesus Christ is the old Word of God and came into the world to teach people who God is. Jesus Christ was the best that God gave to mankind. John 3.16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Therefore, God has manifested His goodness to us in love, not with His own best Son, His Word, who gave Himself for us. Not only for us, he gave his life for the whole world. Romans 5: 8 “But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Brethren, all good is complete with the word “Love” This love of God’s name is not the concern of two different sexes in need. This love is a positive expression of God in caring, caring, appreciating others. Read 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8. So I can confidently say that God’s Name is Love. 1 John 4: 8 “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
God bless you.
